01 / Intro

I moved from Drammen to Oslo to study machine learning and artificial intelligence at the University of Oslo. The combination of math and programming makes the field highly relevant. I chose UiO specifically for its rich history in computer science.

Current Focus

Grasping core programming fundamentals and the required math for ML. I am actively looking for practical project ideas to apply what I learn.

Approach

I prefer to understand the underlying systems rather than relying on quick abstractions. I build and tweak my own local tools to optimize my workflow instead of using default setups.

02 / Studies

First Semester

I prefer getting ahead of the coursework instead of just keeping up. Current rotation:

  • IN1000 Intro programming in Python Core programming structures, algorithms, and logic.
  • IN1020 Computer architecture and networks Hardware fundamentals and network protocols.
  • MAT1080 Math foundations for ML Calculus and linear algebra required for machine learning.
